The 4th largest city in Punjab was designed and developed in adherence to temple architecture. It has emerged as a significant centre of sports and education in the state. It hosts Raja Bhalindra sports complex, Yadavindra sports stadium, polo ground, Rink Hall, National Institute of Sports and Dhruv Pandav Cricket Stadium.
